We know it can be difficult to find a fitness program that is challenging and worthwhile without being competitive or demanding too much of your time and money. MIDDLE PATH is our approach to wellness and fitness in this season of life; somewhere between staying on the couch and running a marathon.
MIDDLE PATH MENTALITY is looking for women who want:
MIDDLE PATH MENTALITY is a year-long journey of building a resilient body with just a once per month commitment!
In your one class per month you’ll receive expert guidance from women who understand you and have the knowledge and experience to safely guide you to where you want to be. You’ll be taught skills in monthly in-person sessions, supported by online workouts you can access any time. We will help you build strength and fitness by focusing on keeping your fascia healthy and why that is paramount as women in our middle years. We’ll make sure you know how to perform every movement safely and effectively for your body before doing the at-home workouts. Each month we’ll build on what was taught the month before. Equipment is minimal and on-line workouts are 30 minutes or less. By the end of 2024, you will have the knowledge and resources to continue an effective, safe, realistic fitness regimen.
Classes are co-taught by Amy and Cheryl. Our backgrounds mesh beautifully to provide a science-based foundation for movement and fitness to meet you exactly where you currently are on your wellness journey.
In-person classes will be held the last Wednesday of each month from 5:15 p.m. - 7:00p.m. at Mayer Wellness, 4060 Vinton St. STE200. We are conveniently located just off I80 at the 42nd St exit.
At-home workouts will be available via YouTube and reinforce the skills learned in the monthly classes. We're also providing three levels of workouts (all 30 minutes or less) so you can workout at the just right challenge at home too with the option of growing as you get stronger and more mobile!
While we want the sessions to be science-based and professional, we will also have some fun! We’ll get creative with our settings and approaches so you don’t get bored. We may have an impromptu game of balloon volleyball or set up an obstacle course to test our skills. As the weather turns nicer, we may meet at a park and show you how to adapt your workout to an outdoor setting. We may go for a hike on some uneven terrain to put your improved strength and balance into action. But one thing is for sure: you will gain strength, confidence, and skills to continue your fitness journey for the rest of your life.
The end goal is not to just get better at doing workouts; it is to do the workouts so it prepares us for whatever it is we desire to do without pain or limitations. Doing the workouts is like a self-defense course for your entire body. Creating a stronger, more mobile, balanced body will protect you from a lot. The better prepared your body is, the better chance you have of recovering from illnesses or surgeries faster. Your risk for accidental falls or mishaps decreases. Your entire system will function better so you may be able to decrease medications. The benefits are endless. We are excited to go on this journey with you and look forward to the community of women who join us!
