OUR 3-DAY FASCIA-INFORMED EVENT COMING Spring 2026
Do you do one on one skills training?
Yes! I love teaching other therapists who want to perfect their skills and apply them to the traditional settings, diagnoses and populations they love to work with. To work with me, just email me at [email protected] or you can go to my booking site and make an appointment. MayerWellness.com.
Bonus! You also get CE credit for this time!
Why do I need to know about the fascia.
Understanding the fascial system will immediately shift your thinking about OT practice and put more tools in your OT toolbox.
The exploding research on fascia is changing the landscape of healthcare. Don’t get left behind!
Why should I learn myofascial techniques?
We all work with clients, both young and old, who have pain. The more tools we have to help them, the better.
Myofascial techniques of all kinds can help you help your clients (or patients if you prefer) and get the best possible outcomes.
Fascia wellness techniques can reduce your no-shows and patient refusal rates.
You'll be the therapist people (clients and colleagues) come to when they need help.
Who can attend?
I'm an occupational therapist but I love to work with all types of practitioners. OT, OTA, PT, PTA, LMT, Nursing, SLP, Chiros, Physicians, etc. If you have a license to touch, you are welcome to work with me.
If you are a student and don't have you license yet but are in a program of study that will lead you to one, you are welcome too.
Why attend a workshop with Mayer Fascia Wellness workshop?
The reasons are many!
I have two decades of teaching adult learners in higher education and I love teaching. Our workshops are active, fun and full of practical content and fascia science you can apply immediately.
I keep my workshops very small so you get lots of hands on opportunities to practice and get feedback directly from me and my helpers.
I provide all the tables and equipment when you come to my office. You'll also learn to use adjustable tables to help you reach difficult areas and keep your body safe.
I will teach you alternative methods of using your body to apply the techniques. I'm in my 50's and protecting my body is a priority and it should be yours too.
I will teach you options for positioning your clients who can't be face down or lay flat which happens all the time in traditional settings and even in many non-traditional settings.
I've used MF techniques in every setting OTs can practice in (that is not an exaggeration) and I believe they need to be in every health and wellness practitioner's tool box.
I focus solely on the practical application of the techniques in this workshop but I will answer any questions about the science, theory and energy aspects of the work you have.
You'll learn skills you can apply immediately with your friends, family members and clients.
What style of myofascial release do you teach in your workshops?
There are many styles of myofascial release available around the world. I do not teach one specific brand.
I believe in integrating my existing knowledge from 10 years of higher education in psychology and occupational therapy. I am also a life-long learner and love to read about biomechanics, fascia-science, traditional and non-traditional approaches to reducing pain and improving function.
The goals in my in-person courses are to introduce you to fascia-science and the commonalities of many methods of hands-on and tool-based approaches to myofascial release. I also aim to provide you with how we can connect the most current fascia science to what we are already doing as practitioners and how we can use the science to improve our intervention strategies, education and communication with our clients.
Do you travel to teach? Can my facility hire you?
Yes and yes.
I have been hired by facilities in and outside of Omaha to teach about fascia and teach myofascial workshops. If you are interested in hiring me, let's talk.
Have I mentioned how much I love to teach and strongly believe every practitioner should have these skills?
I also love to speak at conferences!
Can I get continuing education credit?
I require sign-in and sign-out to my 7 hour CE course to receive your certificate. I also provide learning objectives, a bio and a full agenda. This meets the requirements for state licensure for most health and wellness professionals.
For one to one learning sessions, you decide the focus and I'll provide you with learning objectives and a certificate that you can also use for CE. Your own personal workshop!
If you attend a self-treatment workshop, I can also issue you a certificate if you want to use it as CE. You're sure to learn lots so why not get a certificate?!
OT practitioners: My workshops also meet the NBCOT criteria as a professional development activity. I have not applied for the AOTA approved provider stamp. It is not a requirement for your state CE and is quite expensive and time consuming for me to apply. I may in the future. We'll see.
Am I hiring?
I'm always looking for practitioners who are serious about learning and growing. I offer an amazing work atmosphere and the opportunity to really make a difference in someone's life each and every day.

I really learned a lot and it sparked my interest for future courses. As a lymphedema, women's health, ortho, and neuro therapist and expanding to the oncology rehab world, I am extremely excited to further my education in this area.
This validated that no single technique is the sole healer. They are all good but combining them makes them great!
I enjoyed Amy's knowledge and teaching technique. I've been interested in a myofascial course for many years but was unsure. This was a great course to start with! And has sparked my interest to look for more. Thank YOU!
I tried some of the techniques I learned on my son that night and he commented that he was glad I went to the class and his legs felt lighter.
This course can truly benefit any rehabilitation practitioner in all settings!
Workshop was very well thought out and organized to meet the needs for a variety of health care professionals looking to expand their knowledge in this area. Instructor was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the complicated fascial system in a way that was easily understood and in a way that provided opportunity for additional critical thinking.
